AI vs the Human Touch
We are living in an extraordinary time.
Information is everywhere.
You can ask ChatGPT or AI what remedy might suit your symptoms. You can search materia medica in seconds. You can access knowledge that once took years to gather.
And I think that’s powerful. It can educate. It can suggest remedies. It can guide. It can support people to think differently about their health.
But there are things it cannot do:
- It cannot read the room
- It cannot perceive a life
- It cannot sense the shift in someone’s energy when they mention their mother
- It cannot feel the grief radiating off a person, even if they are smiling
- It cannot hear the hesitation before someone answers a simple question
- It cannot recognise that the “headache” is not about pain — it’s about pressure that has been building for years
Information is not the same as insight.
Homeopathy, at its depth, lives in pattern recognition. In lived experience. In the space between two people where something unspoken becomes clear.
Technology is extraordinary. And I think AI is particularly good at suggesting remedies for acute complaints.
But healing still requires presence.
